Basic Stuff
Quick Transfer to VM and VM key
VM key on Series I sets follows 1-8-26 also for quick transfer MB 1-2-24
Back to top
Number of slots for T1/ISDN PRI
Elite 7000 series and lower require 3 slots for T1/ISDN PRI.
8000 series and higher and all IPK requires only 1 slot.
Going from 3 to 4 digit stations
For 4 digit stations make sure MB 1-1-46 digits there is no single digit
(1~9, * and #) = 001.
In 1-1-47 assign the 2 leading digits of the 4 digit station to a 001. Then
change 1-2-03 to 4 digit station.
VM integration to VMP U40 Linux
Elite 48 and 192 need to be at 9600 to support the AA-Info Pack for
correct integration.
IPK needs to be at at least 2000 to support this feature. Must have MB 1-8-49
turned on.
Call Forward fails on IPK
If numbering plan is wrong stations will ring but will not call forward.
See “Going from 3 to 4 digit stations” above.
Single Line Sets have Short Dial Tone When Accessing T1/ISDN PRI
Enable an access code for ARS so that the single lines can get continuous DT
when dialing the access code.
1-1-46 make access code (E.g. 8 ) = to a 601
1-14-01 make X (wild card) = 01
1-14-03 make 01 = the trunk route of the T1/ISDN PRI
1-14-07 for max digit if necessary
Getting cut off on 911 calls
When doing toll restriction for 911 and or local calls only 1-8-08 Page
3 LK7 must be off.
Delay ring to VM on Elite IPK
Set MB 3-42 (Day) and MB 3-43 (night) as the delay destination and then
assign the timer in MB 3-61.
Trunks will follow MB 4-01/4-02 until the timer (MB 3-61) kicks in.
MB 3-64 will disable the delay operation in the night mode only (MB 3-43).
If VM is delay destination make sure nothing set in MB 4-01 for VM ports.
Channelized ISDN PRI on Elite
Elite 192 pre 8000 series software PRI trunks were assigned in blocks
of 4. If you had 18 trunks you had to select 16 cause it you selected 20 or
24 the system would STILL select these non-equipped B channels for outbound
calling regardless of what route they were in. In 8000 series MB 1-13-00 allowed
trunks enabled on a 1 to1 basis. Available on all IPK.
Trunk Corruption with SAT upload
When uploading database with SAT make sure call forward and miscellaneous
data are not both checked. I they are it can cause trunk corruption. If Call
Forward is not checked this does NOT mean that call forwarding will be wiped
out. It simply means call forward data in the SAT database will not be loaded
leaving the existing (active) forwarding on the CPU.
PVA CONF Card in IPK
IPK must be 4.6 or 4.11 and higher and 7-1 is set for CNF16 and 7-2
set to Digital VM.
ESI board in Elite
ESIB board is not available in the Elite with the CPU-B board.Only available
with CPUI and not CPUB.
Turn off Phantom VM Message Lights (Red)
Make spare single line port a VM port using MB 4-35
Make spare access code in MB 1-1-47 = 503.
At the single line go off hook and dial the access code followed by the ext number.
Phantom Message Lamp (Green)
This is just good ole fat finger dialing by the attendent.
From the DSS press the Attendant Message key (by default the bottom left corner
key 55 by default) followed by the one touch key for the station with the green
lamp. To stop this from happening again simply remove the key from the DSS console
if the feature is not being used.
Transfer Off Premise Elite 7000 and earlier
Make sure MB 1-8-08 Page 3 LK 5, Page 4 LK 8, and Page 5 LK 4 are lit.
Then MB 3-04 set for the trunks and perform the following to complete the transfer……
1. With call in progress press transfer
2. Dial trunk access and number
3. Wait for one ring back
4. Press Feature
5. Press Transfer
6. Go on hook.

Ringback on internal call to a Busy Station
Set MB 1-8-15 table 09 (Call Waiting Tone) to an I (ICM Ringback).
NEC Cordless set does not work
If the cordless set is plugged into a multi-pair jack or test star it
will not work. You must have only one pair wired to the jack that supports the
cordless. This includes if the green red is looped around to the yellow/black
pair to support the older ETW stations it will not work.
In some cases it can cause some systems to reset when the NEC cordless is plugged in.
No ISDN out going calls after upgrade
Sometimes when upgrading for a lower version software to Elite 9700 or IPK 4700 the ISDN PRI will no longer allow outgoing calls. Check 1-1-81 as this MB is sometimes corrupted din the upgrade and can change from default 4 seconds to 30 or 60 seconds.
This system waits this timer after the digits dialed before sending the setup message to the network. Always check it is set to the default 4 seconds.

Echo Config on IP Megaco with IAD card
Log into the IAD and on the main page set the Echo Calibration to Advanced
Reset the IAD card.
Go off hook and access the trunk and make a call with the echo present.
Press Exit, Exit, Help, Feature, Exit.
Soft keys will change and PAD settings can be adjusted with softkeys.
Select Exit and Save changes. You must do this for each trunk from one station
on each IAD card. Must have newer CPU software and IAD firmware.
Click here for copy of doc explaining the proceedure.

IPK Call over CCIS back to VM disconnects the call
The DOS based VM sees a link re-connect message as a loop reversal.
If “Release on LCR(Loop Current Reversal)” is flagged in the VM it
will drop the call when it forwards back to the VM.
Turn this feature off in the VM. Loop current reversal is not used by single
line sets in Nth America.

PVA CCIS Configuration on IPK
When assigning data for CCIS, in the PVA card, always complete the Destinations tab first with all the information regarding the other sites in the network. Once completed then go to the Numbering tab and assign the leading digits to the destination systems.
Remember unlike hardware is considered PBX with starting trunk 1.

ACD
Steps to upgrade ACD PLUS flash card
Follow the following directions to upgrade the ACD+ to flash version
2_34 (U-30 and U-40 board)
The same directions can be used for the older U10 and U20 boards (Non-IP)
1. Take the flash card from the ACD and copy all the contents to a folder on
your PC. DO NOT DELETE OR FORMAT FILES ON FLASH CARD!!!!!
2. Unzip the 2_34.zip file and copy all the unzipped 7 folders and 5 files to
the ACD flash card overwriting all existing files of the same name.
3. From the files saved on your pc in step 1 open the ACD folder and transfer
the config.txt file to the new ACD folder on the flash card.
4. If you have recordings copy the entire existing PCM folder saved in step
1 to the flash card overwriting the new folder of the same name.
5. From the files saved on your pc in step 1 open the DL folder. Then open the
Sockets folder and copy the files “socket.cfg” and “net.cfg”
to the new folders of the same name on the flash card.
6. Place the flash card back in the U-40 and bring the ACD back on line.
As the server program boots confirm the new flash version on the U40 card as
2.34.
With the ACD+ U-10 board (No Ethernet connection) the latest version is 1.83
on the flash card and 2.0.5 Suite for the server software. The latest server
software for U-30/U-40 is 2.8 Suite.
